Simple, Effective Compaction of Fibrous Dust
The Pneumafil Screw Compactor is a self-contained helical screw conveyor designed to compact fibrous textile material stripped from self-cleaning air filtration equipment. It mounts directly to the cone outlet of Pneumafil’s Fine Dust Filter or other stripper filters.
Simple, Low Maintenance Operation
The collected material falls from the stripper filter into the Screw Compactor through an opening above the screw chamber. In a continuous process, the helical screw conveys the fiber and dust to the discharge chamber which incorporates a weighted hinged door. This door provides resistance to the plug of moving material, thereby compacting it. When the dust reaches about five times its normal density, it pushes through the door opening.

- Unlike competitive units, the Pneumafil Screw Compactor does not have to be precharged with dust.
- Compacted material density can be adjusted by changing the weights attached to the discharge door.
- All lubrication points are external, allowing for quick, simple maintenance.
- No rotary valve is required when positive pressure is less than 4” (102 mmm) water gauge.
- For safety reasons, the view port is secured with tamper-proof fasteners, requiring a special tool for removal.
- Simple design and rugged components require very little attention.
