Pneumafils Z-Series extended area prefilter is designed to collect the majority of airborne particulate mass. It features a special blend of non-woven, synthetic fibers, manufactured into a high loft mat to achieve maximum dust holding capacity and low operating pressure drop characteristics. The contoured shape of the pleated medium allows dirt to collect uniformly over every square inch of the surface and prevents build-up in the exit apexes. Uniform dirt loading maximizes exposed medium area, resulting in a more gradual increase in operating pressure drop, higher dust holding capacity, and longer service life. A galvanized expanded metal support grid (26 gage) is bonded to the air leaving side of the media pack to maintain uniform pleat shape and stability. Pneumafil Z-Series extended area prefilter is available in two pleat depth models: Z-100 (4" deep) and Z-150 (6" deep). It is also available in two gravimetrically determined arrestances for SAC-Fine dust: <90% and >90% (Classes EU-3 and EU-4 according to EN 779, valid for Europe). The measuring principles of EN 779 are equivalent to those of ASHRAE 52.1. The replaceable media pleat pack of the Z-Series prefilter is self sealing when installed into the optional stainless steel or plastic holding frame. The media pleat pack is also available installed in a disposable, high wet-strength, moisture resistant beverage board enclosing frame. Two mating die-cut boxes are bonded together, forming a double wall around the entire media pleat pack. This is then bonded to the media pack on all four perimeter surfaces to prevent leakage, and to the upstream and downstream pleat faces to increase rigidity. |
