Temperature: - 4° to 86° F (-20° to 30° C)
Types of dust: Mainly granular. Some soot particles. Fibers. Wet and dry sea salt. Sulfate. Magnesium.
Dust Concentration: 0.01 to 0.1 mg/m3 0.004 to 0.04 gr/1000 ft3
Particle Size (µm): 0.01 to 7.0
Potential damage to gas turbine: Wet corrosion. Fouling. Gas path corrosion.

Recommended Gas Turbine Inlet Air Filtration System

  • INLET WEATHER HOOD. (inlet velocity < 3.5 m/s for rain. < 1.7 m/s for snow)
  • INLET BIRD SCREEN
  • ANTI- ICING, if climatic conditions warrant
  • COALESCER DEMISTER
  • PRE FILTER. (minimum 85% ASHRAE 52.1 arrestance and minimum 2,000 grams SAE-Fine dust holding capacity)
  • FINAL STAGE. Fully potted hydrophobic high efficiency barrier air filter. ( 95% ASHRAE 52.1 Dust Spot Efficiency. Filter bank sloped and provided with drain shelves and down drains to facilitate drainage of deliquesed droplets).
  • INLET AIR COOLING. Evaporative cooling or chilled water coils, if climatic conditions warrant
