A Breakthrough in Filtration Technology

The Everclean® Rotary Pleated Belt Filter is a patented, revolutionary design that combines high capacity pleated membrane media with high efficiency suction cleaning. The result is a high efficiency self-cleaning filter offering more capacity for its size than any filter on the market.

Unlike filters that rely on building a fiber mat to retain small dust particles, the Everclean Filter does not. And unlike felt bag or cartridge filters, it doesn't simply blow or pulse dust back into the air stream. And it doesn't take up nearly as much space.

For the first time, thorough automatic cleaning of agglomerated fibers and dust out of dense pleated high efficiency filter media is possible.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  1. High filtration efficiency. The media is optimized for fibrous dust filtration.
  2. High media cleaning efficiency. Fiber and dust are suctioned away out of the air stream (off-line cleaning).
  3. Compact size-a 50,000 CFM (84,914 m3/hr) filter is 10' (3m) wide x 9' (2.74) high x 6' (1.8m) deep.
  4. Saves money-In most cases, the Everclean Filter does the work of tandem filters. Also, cleaner air requires less air turnover and improves air conditioning system efficiency.
  5. Installation is simple, quick, and economical-The Everclean Filter is pre-assembled on a steel base, and pre-wired, including controls. It does not require a smooth floor or elaborate leveling.
  6. The Everclean Filter is mechanically very simple, each filter cell being basically a conveyor. No moving parts (except for the media itself) are on the dirty side of the filter.
  7. The cleaning mechanism never touches the media-no nozzles to adjust and wear out or rub holes in the media.

HOW IT WORKS

The Everclean Filter consists of a number of filter cells. Each cell is comprised of an endless pleated media belt looped between two pulleys.

Unfiltered air enters the unit parallel to the filter cells and passes through the straight sections of the belt loop. Larger fibers collect on the outer edges of the pleat and smaller particles build up on the media surfaces between pleats. The clean air continues between the two sides of the cell into a plenum in back of the filter and then exits.

Pressure drop across the media is constantly monitored by a dual setpoint Dwyer Photohelic gauge. When the high set point is reached a cell's belt begins rotating around the pulleys, and a stationary suction plenum underneath the cell is activated. As the belt moves around the lower pulley, the pleats open up and air flow through the media is blocked, allowing the pleats to be easily vacuumed clean.

The patented media is a significant new design that is central to the Everclean achieving its unique capabilities. The pleats are tightly spaced for filtration purposes and opens up around the lower pulley for cleaning purposes.

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE

The Everclean Filter is automatically controlled and normally does not require operator intervention. In the unlikely event of a controller failure, a manual override mode allows operation by hand.

No tools are required for media changeouts. The filter cells are held in place with toggle clamps and the media is attached via velcro strips.

APPLICATIONS

The Everclean Filter provides outstanding filtration performance for any air stream containing fiber and dust. Applications include:

  • Textiles
  • Non-wovens
  • Pulp and paper
  • Wood products

To determine if the Everclean Filter is suitable for your application, Pneumafil maintains a full scale test facility at our plant in Charlotte, NC. Contact your Pneumafil representative for a performance test on your dust.

MODULAR SYSTEMS

The Everclean Filter can be built as part of Pneumafil's family of preassembled, weather-proof modular units that can be quickly mixed and matched to suit changing needs. This building block approach allows maximum flexibility in air system arrangement now and in the future. Placing modules adjacent to each other, reduces the piping and ducting to a minimum and lowers upkeep.
