Project Engineer
Mechanical, Machinery Design and Application

Pneumafil and MikroPul form the industrial filtration division of Environmental Filtration Technologies, located in Charlotte, NC. Due to significant growth in our business we are seeking a Project Engineer to lead our dust control and textile projects.

You will be responsible for developing designs, material specifications and drawing details of proprietary products and engineered systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Project Engineering activities.
  • Develop equipment arrangement and detailed fabrication drawings using the latest CAD tools including AutoDESK Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Modify equipment designs to suit specific application requirements or address operational deficiencies on existing installations.
  • Develop specifications and select ancillary components such as ID fans, material handling equipment, instrumentation and process valves.
  • Work with internal and external engineering personnel in various disciplines such as structural and electrical on system integration and optimization.
  • Coordinate with sales and fabricators to ensure the success of the projects.
  • Ensure that all engineering solutions are cost effective.
  • Work with project managers to ensure that the engineering schedules and budgets are maintained.

About You:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering Designation preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years Industrial equipment design experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering of industrial filtration products as well as familiarity with application of dust collection, air moving equipment, motors, material handling equipment, heat exchangers, ventilation duct and hood design is desirable.
  • Efficient, organized and competent worker.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent problem solving skills.
  • Able to juggle projects and prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Work well with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient communication skills, written and verbal.
